Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis

Hypnosis can be traced back many millennia. Documents from the Ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Chinese, and Persians show extensive studies in hypnosis and altered states of consciousness. It was considered a cure for many ailments and disorders, physical and emotional.

It can best be described as a state of profound physical and mental relaxation, during which we become inwardly focused, aware of our immediate reality but with a comfortable sense of detachment from it. Nevertheless you are fully awake and alert during your session with the Hypnotherapist.

Have you ever caught yourself daydreaming and not noticed things happening around you? Or been on a train journey and missed your stop. These trance-like states are just self hypnosis.

The skill of the Hypnotherapist is to make contact with your ‘subconscious self’ and guide your thoughts and feelings towards the positive change that you require.
